WEEK 3 - REFLECTION

This week I aimed to begin developing towards my FMP after doing sufficient research and ideas development. Although I feel like some pieces of my FMP are still missing, I would like to complete what I had aimed at myself from last week. For typography, I compared both English and Urdu and started to work towards creating my typography as a part of my FMP, because I want to be able to engage my audience within my work. I'm not planning on making my FMP informative, but instead, I want to make it look playful and be able to create a narrative.

On Monday, I mainly focused on the little research that I did for my typography, which included the idea of using the Rebus typography as well as also researching Multilingual fonts. I wanted to have a better understanding of my type and which pathway I should follow, which helped me have a clearer idea. however, I felt as if I am slowing down within my project because of the lack of motivation which I tend to have a lot of trouble with.

During this week we had a workshop that included group work. The aim of the workshop was to make sure that our proposal for our FMP was understandable to other people. In order to that we had to write a short description of our proposal and share it with another person who re-writes your written proposal in simpler words which then is repeated another 3 times. This activity made sure that my proposal was giving out the right aims and targets to the audience so that I wouldn't get too lost during the making of it. This also gave me the opportunity to look at what my peers are planning to create thus giving me the boost of motivation I needed in order to move forward.

Since I need to be mindful of the time we have left till our showcase, I need to start working at a much faster pace, this means, I should be practically starting to develop my FMP, which includes finalising my typography and working with other materials and planning. I need to make to use all of my necessary free time in order to keep up the work.
